I’m trying to understand why Dinesh D’Souza is attacking Tucker Carlson? What is it that Tucker said that triggered him to think he’d be run out of town by Reagan-era conservatives? In fact, Tucker was run out of town–by Liberals! He must be doing something right. Charlie Kirk was more critical of certain Jews, specifically in some of the latter comments I’ve seen before his death. Even more so than Tucker.
Perhaps it’s Tucker’s legitimate disdain for Neo-Cons and what some have termed the “Kosher Right.”
Savage interviewed Tucker recently. Why didn’t he question or confront Tucker on any supposed anti-Semitism? He had his chance. He cussed Tucker out recently for supposed anti-Semitism then had to issue a legalistic apology.
Not much was said here, really. Dinesh is free to interview Tucker any time and discuss any issues he has but I don’t think Tucker would be that interested. Tucker is more popular than Dinesh, in my estimation. And more courageous and risk-taking in his exploration of current events and the political landscape.
I think young people are susceptible to all kinds of things, especially when it comes to political indoctrination. But I also think there will always be a contingent of young people that are pretty sophisticated and can figure things out themselves. Especially if they had parents that taught them to think critically.
I haven’t heard much from Dinesh lately. I’d like to know what he thought about certain Liberal Jewish groups labelling Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA as anti-Semitic. I didn’t see anyone of prominence, like Dinesh, coming to Charlie’s defense either. Now that he’s a martyr, even Fox News, who banned him, wants to bask in the glow (reflected glory) of Charlie’s supreme sacrifice without sharing in any of the suffering for his cause (enduring the scars of battle).
That would be enough to anger some young people who can see the injustice of it all and that might make them susceptible to anti-Semitic feelings. Perhaps they don’t like the perceived overkill in the Hamas/Israeli war. Perhaps they don’t like the fact that they’re broke after college and see America giving Israel billions of dollars in foreign aid.
In other words, the unfair and condemnatory actions of some Jews could cause a reaction. But, then again, if I say that then I could be accused of anti-Semitism. It’s really a no-win situation when people don’t take responsibility for their words and actions. Especially Leftist Jews who use the words anti-Semitism as a sword and shield to silence legitimate criticism.
Anti-Semitism, like the word racism, has been used and abused so much it’s losing it’s force of intimidation. This is good. This is where real dialog can begin to address any issues, real or perceived. Because there are real issues…
Dinesh failed to convince me. Perhaps he’ll say something more substantive in the whole interview when Savage posts it.
