Interesting answer. He’s appealing to morality (natural law) and the some of the metaphysics (truths) found in the Hindu religion that are commensurate with American values.
However, some parts of Hinduism aren’t compatible with Christianity and egalitarian American values, such as India’s caste system.
Can Vivek govern America morally? If he sticks to what he says, then definitely, better than the valueless Joe Biden and his merry band of cultural Marxists can.
If elected or appointed to any political position, he certainly should not impede the efforts of Christian politicians, legislators and others to further the religion in America.
Christianity – even elements of the sect known as Deism – does form the basis of American life, though it’s fallen on hard times.
