Well, they’ve got money so sell it to them or lend-lease it to them. We’re $33+ Trillion in debt and can’t afford much more, if any, debt-based bleeding.
Iran is a country of 90 million people and is certainly not a pushover. Then you’ve got the other countries that would most certainly throw in.
I think we’d probably need to institute a draft for that one, seeing as so many of our soldiers are overweight under the reckless Biden Regime and military recruitment efforts can’t be met with the current, Marxist “woke” ideology holding sway, deterring authentic patriots from serving.
Can you imagine drafting the sons and possibly daughters of America to fight another war in the Middle East – after 30 years of exhaustion – while millions of illegal aliens stream into the country, retire immediately on welfare benefits and live overfed and happy off the fat of the land with no obligation to fight? With most young people unable to even secure a decent standard of living, much less pay off their student loans and pursue the American dream of owning a home and starting a family, the social contract has been damaged, if not broken entirely.
Fighting and dying in a war overseas for questionable national security objectives, while illegal aliens kick back and live the American dream paid for by the very same citizen taxpayer soldiers, is down right cruel and unusual punishment and not something our Founding Fathers would have envisaged, much less advocated.
Sure, we could send Captain Ben Shapiro over there to lead the charge of the light brigade, but the rapid-fire bullets of his quick and nimble tongue might confuse the troops as to the source of the attack and open him up to friendly fire. So that’s a no go.
No. No U.S. troops fighting against Iran–an Iran we’ve pumped billions of dollars into to strengthen. We just pulled out of Afghanistan leavings tens of billions of dollars in equipment after decades of conflict. We certainly don’t need another mass catastrophe in either blood or treasure. It might crack the United States socially, economically and spiritually–like Humpty Dumpty.
We should save our remaining resources in case we need to defend Taiwan – and ourselves – from the most dangerous enemy of humanity: communist China. Sensible efforts should be made to prepare for that possible and probable conflict, even though, again, we helped build them up with aid, trade and dual-use technology transfer. I only wish we could jail the politicians, bureaucrats and business execs responsible for selling us out.
As for winning the war: The war for the hearts and minds of the heartless and mindless can never be won when they’re animated by a spirit of hatred and destruction. The best you can do is try to contain the devil…lest you destroy yourself, and everyone else, in the process.
Even then, it’s tricky business at best…
