I think the ubiquitous MacGregor is right in a lot of respects on the Russian-Ukraine war and I value his experience. But I think he’s wrong on China. A few of his statements on the Israeli conflict also have me questioning his judgment.

Solzhenitsyn – in his Harvard speech decades ago – warned of the dangers of letting communist China conquer and enslave Taiwan.

Taiwan must be defended against the communist menace. America should never have sought economic interdependence with Red China with the flawed notion that “free-trade” ensures peace because nations that trade supposedly don’t war with each other. That didn’t work out too well with Japan prior to WWII when it came to the free flow of critical resources, like oil.

On the contrary, China’s currency war is an extension of their economic war efforts, and trade wars lead to shooting wars. obviously they don’t share our values and seek to undermine our nation, especially in the area of high-tech theft and technology transfers.

In essence, we were sold out by the “free trade” Globalists who have profited quite handsomely off of moving production to China and deindustrializing the United States.

Like Antony Sutton said, we all have a stake in the individual liberties of others. We cannot turn our back on the slave labor camps in China, on the human rights abuses and moral vacuum of the regime.

I’m glad Vivek Ramaswamy has changed his tune and has highlighted the need to protect Taiwan from the great communist menace.
