I would say Moses talks to us in the sacred scriptures, but you know…I’m old school. Savage is reciting some good historic points of consideration and whetting the appetites of thinking individuals.

For an in-depth, fascinating and animated account of Judaism, Christianity and Islam check out Malachi Martin’s “The Encounter.” Worth a read – if you can get a copy – just on the stunning beginning of Islam and God’s calling of Abraham to sacrifice his son, alone. You can skip around the book and still be captivated and informed.

Fr. Martin had PhD’s in Archaeology, Semitic Languages and Oriental History. He translated the Dead Sea Scrolls.

His book was written in the late 1960s. He posited that all three religions were headed to “quasi-total eclipse” in the face of an emerging, global, godless technocracy. Given the push towards and accomplishments of transhumanism and post-humanism, he was quite prophetic.

Aside from Islam’s current war on the remnants of the “captured” West, I don’t see how they, or we, can survive another 100 years.

A society can only rise to the heights of it’s moral-religious and theological base, humanly speaking. In this regard Christendom or Western Civilization was the apex of human accomplishment.

Aside from Church approved apparitions of the Virgin Mary and private and public prophecy, there has been no universal, direct revelation by God to humanity since Christ. Islam certainly wasn’t anything new.
