Interesting how our Pope did not begin his speech at UNESCO with a prayer. Odd indeed. One would think the Vicar of Christ on earth would be inspired by the Holy Spirit to bring the audience to consciousness of the Catholic Church’s spiritual mission via conversion, faith, repentance and charity.
Instead, he addressed the crowd of secular, atheist Globalists as an equal amongst equals in an earthly quest to build heaven on earth via Social Justice and the liberation of man from poverty, ignorance, disease and hunger.
Liberals and Marxist Liberation Theologians are embarrassed by the supernatural. It gets in the way of their naturalistic utopianism. I’m not saying the Pope is a Marist Liberation Theologian, but most clergy living in the 3rd world cannot escape its corrupting influence. Most probably don’t even know they’ve been influenced.
To them, symbolism is very important: what they say, what they don’t say, who they bless, who they neglect (won’t meet with Trump), what laws they believe we should follow, what laws and causes (illegal aliens, “obsession with abortion”) we should ignore. They way, they cannot be accused of outright subversion (malignant neglect?).
I’m a half-baked Catholic and I would have began the speech with a prayer to the Holy Spirit, at least. Instead, all we got was the temporal banality of Globalist platitudes and earthly attitudes devoid of supernatural destiny and the tragedy of man’s separation from God.
Yet, people drink the Kool-Aid that whatever the Pope says or does is backed by the Holy Spirit like a get out of jail free card. People don’t realize, that on a spiritual level, when the Pope denies Christ (or at least puts him at the back of the list of necessary means to significant societal change and social progress) he’s repeating the errors (recapitulating biblical themes, in a mystical and practical sense) of Peter the Apostle–and first Pope. When Christ told the Peter “Get behind me Satan” he was showing how Peter’s earthly aims for Christ (he would reign as Messiah over an earthly utopia and bring perpetual peace) were in opposition to his divine mandate to suffer and die so as to obtain eternal life, not a better materialistic life on earth.
Not a lot was said about Jesus Christ in the Pope’s speech either. More mish-mash, Globalist mush. Saints preserve us… I did like the warning about building a Tower of Babel. That was pretty good, but lacking in fire and conviction that the Globalists themselves, most devoid of the God of the Bible, are on a futile quest to build a New World Order without God in the name of radical environmentalism, population control, economic control and spiritual indifference, synchrsetisim and malaise.
The banality of Globalist organizations shines forth in their empty platitudes of education, respect for justice, freedom and equality. Many of these groups promote naturalistic, Luciferian aims devoid of humanly acceptable goals: homosexuality, transsexuality, transhumanism, population control (via infanticide and euthanasia) and post-humanism (The Singularity where machine and man converge).
The Pope’s admonition to respect the dignity of man is good, though a generalization. The recognition of the threat of AI in the face of man as created in the image of God is commendable. But the whole speech was full of glittering generalities wedded to a stance of “we’re all in it together in the quest of human development (progress, evolution).”
Sorry, the mission of the Catholic Church is not to hand out condoms, bless homosexual unions and slap mashed potatoes and gravy on the plates of hungry homeless drug addicts. Much less, simply promoting science, education and culture–without the Social Kingship of Christ as the bedrock of civic morality and a global civil society.
Who the hell is writing this gibberish for the Pope? Undoubtedly, Post-Vatican II liberals…

Anyone have any opinions on these topics or is it all good since the Pope has the keys of the kingdom to bind and loose anything as acceptable on earth as it is in heaven? Carte Blanche…despite the traditions of the Catholic Church that have preserved the faith, like Noah’s ark, in the face of all the empires that have risen and fallen over the centuries… “The Gates of Hell will not (ultimately) prevail against the Church.” Though they will make war on the saints and seem to prevail for a period of time during The Great Apostasy (in the Church…)
