Listen, I lived in San Jose, California from 1968-1998 (when I was practically run out of the state and persecuted by the Roy Masters-cult-loving, Talk Radio Network affiliated media hystericals, et al (they were coming out of the woodwork, including Neo Nazis), who painted me as a racist. But for direct intervention by God, who knows what would have happened. That’s an interesting story in and of itself.

My dad worked on job at IBM and supported 3 kids, a 2,300 sq. ft. house and two cars near the beautiful foothills in South San Jose…on one salary! Plus, he retired with a pension AND 401K.

It’s simply impossible today, even on two salaries, with the average cost of a house at $1.4+ million dollars for a 1,600 sq. ft. stucco and chicken wire shack.
