President Donald Trump signed the Halt All Lethal Trafficking of Fentanyl (HALT) Act into law Wednesday, establishing mandatory 10-year minimum sentences for trafficking 100 grams or more of fentanyl-related substances and reclassifying those compounds as Schedule I narcotics under the Controlled Substances Act.
