For all of the their strengths, and after watching a some of the confirmation hearing answers from Tulsi and Kristi Noem dodging the question of arresting Sanctuary City leaders, I’m just not satisfied with their knowledge or experience to do their respective jobs.
Gabbard is clearly a patriot and useful in other areas but her lack of intel experience and Liberal(ish), Democrat background and civil-rights-first bent makes her not quite up to speed and possibly handicaps her. That Laura Ingraham had to twist Kristi Noem’s arm to get her to say she will go after Sanctuary City leaders says she lacks civic courage.
On the other hand, Tulsi and Kristi are WEAK cabinet level officials who will do what they are told by Trump with little to no pushback, so that’s a positive. They are moldable political creatures and useful tools in this regard.
I’m not trying to undercut Trump, just my two cents. In fact, I am supporting Trump by telling him to keep them on a short leash, so to speak.
In the final analysis both lack the character trait of authenticity and seem to be playing roles rather than embodying them. Tom Homan, on the other hand, is obviously the archetype of the tough border enforcement official–the real deal and a STRONG cabinet level official.
This is not a male vs. female thing, either.
Both Noem and Gabbard; however, are patriots and I salute their service and will support them…though I may level criticism based on performance. Call it fining tuning or calibrating them…in real time.
Laura Ingraham did her job as a journalist and asked the tough questions. Good job! No, great job! And a bit courageous on her part…which seems to come naturally, authentically.
